How To Manage Contacts In Outlook 2010

       Microsoft Outlook is the most popular email client application. Being a brand and having many useful features, Outlook has become the best choice of technocrats and IT professionals. 

       Along with the sending and receiving of emails, this software has many other functional features such as users can manage their contacts and calendar items too. These enormous features make Outlook the best application.



         Managing contacts in MS Outlook is very easy and is an effortless task. This blog provides you with detailed information about how to manage contacts in MS Outlook 2010.

Create Contacts: -

         Outlook contacts can be used to store all up-to-date information. You can easily create contact from an email message. New contact can also be created from an electronic business card or a public folder.



The ribbon for creating the new contact provides five different categories: - 

  • Actions: - It contains options such as Save & Close, Delete and Save & New. Click on Save & New down arrow and choose Contact from the same company option. 
  • Show: - It contains all the information such as General, Details, Activities, Certificates and All Fields. 
  • Communicate: - It has commands for sending emails such as send email to a new contact, telephone your new contact, create a journal entry about contact, etc.
  • Names: - This feature displays the entire address book and also verifies the names and email addresses. 
  • Zoom: - Zoom command enables you to zoom any data available in the Notes section.

Add new contact: -

  • Click Contacts from the Outlook view.

  • In the home tab of Contacts, choose New Contact. Enter your Full Name that includes title, first, middle and last name, Company and Job Title.

  • Open the email message from which you want to copy the contact.

  • Click Save & Close.
